An ultra-sensitive electrochemical sensor of Ni/Fe-LDH toward nitrobenzene with the assistance of surface functionalization engineering

Hypersensitive detection of organic pollutions with high toxicity in drinking water always keeps its challenge electroanalysis due to their low concentration and electrochemical redox inert. In this work, a novel nanomaterial modified electrode for the sensitive nitrobenzene (NB) is presented, based on environmental friendly cost-effective Ni/Fe layered double hydroxides functionalized sodium dodecyl sulfate (Ni/Fe(SDS)-LDH). Such 2D composites were prepared used improve sensitivity NB detection, good catalytic activity reduction. Besides, proposed shows remarkably promoted compared Ni/Fe-LDHs one. It because that surface modifier SDS can provide more adsorption sites significantly NB, which has been confirmed by experiment characterization Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). As result, an impressive sensing behaviour achieved at Ni/Fe(SDS)-LDHs 15.79 ?A ?M?1 cm?2. This work provides promising way build advanced nanomaterials pollution energetically synergizing functionalization engineering.
